That's Easy To Love

In this Essentrist painting Wolf Kesh focuses on the ostracism the pioneer of any daring, new concept or idea is subjected to.

The Arrival

by Wolf Kesh

This painting may appear to depict “the arrival” of extra-terrestrials. Adults will relate to the implied meaning. Every new idea, concept, invention or even artistic creation is greeted with as much acceptance as the arrival of extra-terrestrials would be. To name a few examples: the ideas of Galileo Galilei caused him to be burnt at stake; Copernicus handed over his book - which described the heliocentric theory - on his deathbed to avoid repercussions; Thomas Edison was considered the village idiot for quite a while;  the list has no end… The same holds true today, we still don’t welcome change that is - of course - unless we've attained acceptance of and recognition for our ideas; in other words, unless we've "arrived".

Original Mixed Media Painting on Stretched Canvas, size: 48" x 60"

(Wolf Kesh, the founder of Essentrism. Contemporary figurative art. Essentrist art.)
