Representational Painting |
In this Essentrist painting Wolf Kesh questions faith. This impassioned representational painting depicts the anguish of a believer torn between religious devotion and the prospect of its futility.

Is ANYBODY Listening?! by Wolf Kesh
Original Mixed Media Painting on Stretched Canvas, size: 24" x 36" (Wolf Kesh, the founder of Essentrism. Representational art. Essentrist art.)
Trapped in the cage of temporal life the good, the bad, the blessed and the condemned, the happy and the suffering are appealing to a Higher Authority. Is there Ultimate Justice? Is freedom from our earthly agonies achieved only outside of this dimension? Is ANYBODY listening to our prayers? What if there is no clemency and no bliss at all?....................... What if this is ALL there is? What if WE are the ONLY authority?......... What if NOBODY will brake the bars of our destiny for us?....... What if all the power there is is in the individual, here and now?......... What if we are NOT using it well?................ What if faith isn't the gate to freedom but another bar of the cage that prevents us from living fully?............ |
